This page explains what information we collect when you visit estheticianstudyguide.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Esthetician Study Guide is a brand of AQC Technologies LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we" and "us"). We make illustrated study guides for the esthetician written licensing exam. You can reach us at info@estheticianstudyguide.com.
What we collect
When you buy. Your name, email address, and billing details. Checkout and payment are handled by our checkout provider (Systeme.io) and payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number. We also create a student-area login for you, so you can download your books again later.
When you email us. Your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
When you visit the site. Our website host (Cloudflare) records basic technical information, like your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Advertising cookies. We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure how our ads perform. It uses cookies and similar technology to record things like which pages you view and whether you click through to checkout, along with information about your device and browser. Meta may connect this with information it already has about you, under Meta's own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To deliver the books you buy, give you access to your student area, and send your receipt.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds.
- To understand which ads and pages work, so we can show the guide to people who may want it.
- To keep records we need for taxes and accounting.
If we ever email you about anything other than your order, like study tips or a new book, every one of those emails will have an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the business: our checkout and payment providers, our email delivery and website hosting providers, and Meta for ad measurement as described above. We don't sell your personal information for money.
How long we keep it
We keep order information for as long as we need it to deliver your purchase, handle refunds and support, and meet tax and accounting rules. We keep support emails only as long as they're useful for helping you.
Your choices
- See, fix, or delete your information. Email info@estheticianstudyguide.com and we'll help. Some states give you additional privacy rights, and we'll honor those requests too.
- Ads. You can control the ads you see in your Meta ad preferences, opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info, or block and clear cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This site and our books are made for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
